Intelecom Connect is continuously being upgraded with improvements and new functionality. Most new functionality is included in the standard quarterly client upgrades, but for some functions we require the customer to replace a component on their side to take advantage of the new functionality.
At the moment we are focusing on upgrading our catalog-using customers. The new catalog functionality will give you more reliable service and better functionality on your catalog service in Intelecom Connect. There are three main areas regarding the catalog that will require your attention:
Customers using https://catalog.intele.com for catalog management must start using https://control.intele.com (Connect Control) as soon as possible. These two interfaces have separate logon credentials and if you need help with your access to Connect Control, do not hesitate to contact us on our support page https://help.intele.com. All functionality from the old catalog interface is fully replicated in Connect Control.
The https://catalog.intele.com interface will be decommissioned by 31.12.2016.
Some customers use Intelecoms FTP servers for importing contact lists into the catalog database. All customers using ftp.carrot.no for importing catalog contacts must start using ftp.intele.com instead.
The ftp.carrot.no interface will be decommissioned by 31.12.2016.
Connect Catalog Sync Client
The Connect Catalog Sync client (installed in your Exchange environment) is used to import contacts from Active Directory and calendar appointments from Exchange into the Intelecom catalog database. All customers using an older version of the Connect Catalog Sync client must upgrade to our newest version (version 2.0.0).
Sync clients older than version 2.0.0 will be decommissioned by 31.12.2016.
To ensure a quick and smooth migration, engineers from Intelecom will contact you to migrate your FTP account and replace your sync client on your Exchange Server.
Please prepare your team to be contacted by us to secure a smooth and efficient transition. The work will be directed by Intelecom engineers, but some of the steps in the migration must be performed by your team.
If you are not sure if this affects you, please contact our support team on https://help.intele.com.
