New Feature: Read-Only Mode for New Ticket Rules and Event Rule Groups
We've introduced a new read-only mode to prevent accidental modifications to critical automation rules.
What's New:
Enhanced Safety Controls: A toggle button allows switching between read-only and edit modes, protecting business-critical automation rules from unintended changes.
Smart Default Behaviour: The system starts in read-only mode by default, requiring deliberate action to enable editing.
What's Included:
• Toggle Protection: Lock/unlock button in the toolbar for switching between view and edit modes
• Hidden Destructive Actions: Delete and copy (Event Rules Only) buttons are hidden when in read-only mode; drag handles for reordering are also hidden
• Disabled Interactions: Toggle switches for enabling/disabling rules are disabled
• Clear Visual Feedback: Tooltips and indicators show the current mode status
Benefits:
Reduced Risk: Prevents accidental changes to automation rules that could disrupt ticket processing workflows.
Improved Confidence: Team members can safely browse automation rules without fear of making unintended modifications.
Better User Experience: Clear visual feedback makes it obvious when rules are protected versus editable
