Puzzel ID FAQs

Puzzel ID will introduce a new sign in, where the customer ID and user name will be substituted by the email address that is registered as Puzzel ID in the user’s account settings.

The new sign in credentials will be the user’s Puzzel ID and a new password.

Administrators can configure the Puzzel ID settings for their users using this navigation prompt:

• Sign into the Admin Portal

• Select Users on the Admin Portal’s main menu

• Select Users again from the pop out menu

On the Users table that appears you will see the Puzzel ID column.

By clicking on a user, the Edit User page appears.

The “Puzzel ID equals email address” button will be automatically checked, and the Puzzel ID field will populate with the relevant information.

If the user’s email address is missing or wrong, please update it.

To do so:

• Untick “Puzzel ID equals email address”

• Edit the Puzzel ID field as needed

• Click Save

There are four user types: Person, Wallboard, API and BOT users.

• All ordinary (Person) users need an email as Puzzel ID.

• API and bot users should be given User type API/Chat bot (no email needed).

• Wallboard users will need an email as Puzzel ID to be able to sign in using the new URL.

The first time users sign in, they will be redirected to enter their Puzzel ID and create a new password based on new security precautions.

• The Puzzel ID is likely missing

• Users will need to verify that the email is correct and validated.

They will need to re-configure SSO with Puzzel ID. Puzzel ID will continue to support existing two factor authentication, in addition to support for authenticator apps.
